General Information

Weapons

* No weapons of any kind are permitted in the Court. (i.e. firearms, knives, box cutters, chemical protection devices, etc.) All items that would be considered a weapon must be left in your vehicle.

Court Schedule

Monday
Traffic & Criminal Hearings, which include but are not limited to the following:
  • Incarceration Hearings
  • Preliminary Hearings
  • Pre-trials
  • Final Pre-trials
  • Miscellaneous Hearings
  • Parties must appear at the time scheduled by the Court. Failure to appear may result in the Court issuing a warrant for your arrest.
Tuesday
Traffic, Criminal, Civil and Small Claims Hearings, which include but are not limited to the following:
  • Arraignments
  • Incarceration hearings
  • Preliminary Hearings
  • Bench Trials
  • Suppression Hearings & Miscellaneous Hearings
  • Civil hearings
  • Small Claims hearings
  • Parties must appear at the time scheduled by the Court. Failure to appear may result in the Court issuing a warrant for your arrest.
Thursday
Jury Trials. Parties must appear at the time scheduled by the Court. Failure to appear may result in the Court issuing a warrant for your arrest.

Court Appearances

  • Proper attire is required when reporting for any Court hearing.
  • Upon arrival at Court, please check in with the clerk’s office and with the Bailiff.
  • At the conclusion of your scheduled hearing, you must report to report to the clerk’s office. You will be excused to leave, once the check out process is completed.
  • If you need a work excuse as proof of your Court appearance, the clerk’s office can provide you with a letter.

Warrants

If a warrant has been issued for your arrest from the Bellevue Municipal Court, it will be your responsibility to contact the Court to discuss options for turning yourself into the Court. We do not schedule hearings for Defendants who have a warrant.

Weddings

The Judge performs weddings for individuals by appointment only. Engaged couples must bring a valid marriage license to the Court the day of the wedding. A picture ID is required for both individuals. If an interpreter is needed, the wedding party shall be responsible for the cost (if any).

Forms of Payment

Traffic/Criminal
Cash, Money Order, Certified Check payments may be accepted directly at the Court or through the postal service. Please do not send cash in the mail.
Civil/Small Claims
Court may accept checks for new filings only. Payments on judgments must be in cash, Money Order or Certified Bank Check, payable to Bellevue Municipal Court.

Credit Card Payments (Debit Cards are Not Accepted)

  • Payments may be made online at the following address: https://bellevuemunicourtohio.com
  • Payments are also accepted by calling our call center at: 1-866-895-0198. You will be asked to provide a 5 digit code for The Bellevue Municipal Court, which is: 13815.
  • Please do not call the Court directly to make a payment. Payments may only be made by contacting the call center (listed above).
  • In person credit card payments can not be accepted at the Court.
  • An additional processing fee will apply for any credit card payments.
